United States - World Beater to World Back Seater

United States - World Beater to World Back Seater

I heard Megan Kelly (Fox News) say the other day that she was surprised how quickly the United States world influence had declined.  A guest commented...and how quickly the United States economy has fallen below the economy of China. The key is ‘how quickly’ these things have come about. The greater our immorality and liberality in thought and deed, the faster the world seems to hold us in scorn. The more like the world we attempt to become the less they care for our presence. The once mighty well-oiled wheels of prosperity are losing momentum.

What has put the United States in this unenviable predicament? What ‘part’ has fallen off and gone unnoticed? What have we failed to carry forward with us to make this machine function smoothly? We still have people. We still have education. We still have money. We still have wheels. We still have business. We still have military. So, it isn’t the people ‘we’ or the tools of education, money, wheels, business, or military. The key word must be still. Psalms 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.”

If you dare to read further, then you may discover the ‘how’ and ‘why’ behind The United States speedy decline. Below are Biblical accounts describing not only how but also why this nation has gone from ‘World Beater to World Back Seater’ so quickly; and how God deals with a rebellious nation.

Isaiah 1:7 Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers.
Desolate – Once the industry and technology leader of the world; we became vain and proud, we removed God from the head of our nation; our industries and great innovation are desolate.
Burned – We built great buildings to proclaim our vanity to the world; “see us, there is none like us.” We replaced God with secular humanism and the World Trade Centers burned and crumbled.
Devoured – We became lax and thankless in the stewardship of our abundance and have even sold our children’s heritage into indebtedness to the Chinese and others who devour us.
Overthrown by strangers – God is using other nations to reprove us. The Koreans, Islamic nations, allies, and progressives; unwittingly teamed together, they slowly and methodically throw down our defense, The United States Constitution.

Deuteronomy 9:16 And I looked, and, behold, ye had sinned against the LORD your God, and had made you a molten calf: ye had turned aside quickly out of the way which the LORD had commanded you.

Deuteronomy 11:17 And then the LORD'S wrath be kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and lest ye perish quickly from off the good land which the LORD giveth you.

Joshua 23:16 When ye have transgressed the covenant of the LORD your God, which he commanded you, and have gone and served other gods, and bowed yourselves to them; then shall the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and ye shall perish quickly from off the good land which he hath given unto you.

Judges 2:17 And yet they would not hearken unto their judges, but they went a whoring after other gods, and bowed themselves unto them: they turned quickly out of the way which their fathers walked in, obeying the commandments of the LORD; but they did not so.

Jeremiah 17:5 Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.
6 For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.

Jeremiah 18:12 And they said, There is no hope: but we will walk after our own devices, and we will every one do the imagination of his evil heart.

Psalm 9:17-20
17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.
18 For the needy shall not always be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall not perish for ever.
19 Arise, O LORD; let not man prevail: let the heathen be judged in thy sight.
20 Put them in fear, O LORD: that the nations may know themselves to be but men. Selah.

Do you care about the United States? Here is where most will stop reading, unwilling to hear what must be done for this nation to regain God’s blessings, prosperity, and status as a leader among the nations. God doesn’t change, he deals with nations the same way he always has. God’s words above are an exact description of what the United States is experiencing today. What can we do as individuals and as a nation to regain God’s good will toward us?

2 Chronicles 30:7 And be not ye like your fathers, and like your brethren, which trespassed against the LORD God of their fathers, who therefore gave them up to desolation, as ye see.
8 Now be ye not stiffnecked, as your fathers were, but yield yourselves unto the LORD, and enter into his sanctuary, which he hath sanctified for ever: and serve the LORD your God, that the fierceness of his wrath may turn away from you.
9 For if ye turn again unto the LORD, your brethren and your children shall find compassion before them that lead them captive, so that they shall come again into this land: for the LORD your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if ye return unto him.

Jeremiah 17:7 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.
8 For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
10 I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
11 As the partridge sitteth on eggs, and hatcheth them not; so he that getteth riches, and not by right, shall leave them in the midst of his days, and at his end shall be a fool.

Could anything be plainer than the truth above? Can anyone argue against what God said in His Holy Word? Is there still doubt these truths are from God? Are we so enamored by sins of lust and pride we are unwilling to forsake them and receive God’s blessings? Read again the Bible scriptures without my comments, they still hold the same warning of judgment for a nation turned away from God.

Isaiah 1:4 Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward.

2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
